Bluetooth Software for Bluetooth Devices

Bluetooth technology is ruling the wireless communications and the Bluetooth software plays a key role in providing device drivers which enables the connectivity between two Bluetooth devices or the Bluetooth device and the our personal computer. Today many devices come with Bluetooth connectivity which enables connecting the device wirelessly with other devices having Bluetooth capability or to computers.

For a device which has built-in Bluetooth capability the driving software that is needed to establish the wireless connection between devices, will be present by default. But, for our home PC which has no in-built Bluetooth hardware (chip) and Bluetooth software, it is not possible to connect wirelessly with other Bluetooth enabled devices. To solve this problem, we go for Bluetooth dongles which can be just plugged into our PC and get connected with other devices wirelessly. The Bluetooth chip needs to work along with our operating system, for this, we need driver software which communicates between our operating system and the software that is embedded on other Bluetooth devices.

Bluetooth software not only acts as driver software for our PC, it also comes with many other features like file transfer between two Bluetooth enabled devices. For example, Bluetooth software can support us in File Transfer between our PC and our mobile provided both have Bluetooth capabilities. One such utility that comes along with all Bluetooth software is the ‘Bluetooth File Exchange’ utility which comes along with the Mac OS X operating system, and used to exchange files to or from a Bluetooth-enabled device.
